Ms Dynamite Dominates MOBO Awards

Ms Dynamite dominated the MOBO Awards last night in London, picking up gongs for UK act of the year, best single and best newcomer. “It’s really important to even be nominated forthe MOBOs. But the awards aren’t as important to me as performing at the show,” she told the Scottish Daily Record. “I still get so excited and the audience will be huge at the venue and on television. I find it no harder performing to strangers than in front of my family. I’m used to it when I’m in the studio - people are always dropping by.” Other winners included Ashanti (Best R&B Act), Aaliyah (Best Video), Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes (MOBO Outstanding Achievement Award), and Ja Rule (Best Hip Hop Act).
